you. Try a one on one private lesson with one of our instructors.
This will give you a chance to visit our school, meet our staff and for
you and/or your child to work with one of our instructors. This is
your chance to try us out to see which style is right for you.
We train our students to the best of their ability.
Some students come to us in shape,
while others have come to us 100 pounds overweight. Most come to us with
limited flexibility. As a student, you are looked upon as an individual,
never compared to anyone else. Our instructors will be there every step
of the way.
Training at Absolute Martial Arts St. Louis is a
exciting, unique, and fun way to get in shape. While at the same
time you get the added benefit of learning self defense.
We have a number of different programs to fit the goals of even the
busiest students.
This
1000 year old martial art system is world renowned for its simplicity
and effectiveness. It is an art form which utilizes all of the body’s
natural weapons to create a devastating fighting style. In Kickboxing,
hand techniques are similar to western boxing, adding strikes with
elbows and knees, and delivering low, powerful kicks. There is no
ranking system in Kickboxing and it can be learned quickly. This program
is designed for students who want both fitness and self-defense.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
This Class is designed to teach the fundamentals of
ground fighting. With focus given to positional training (how to escape
and hold positions) and how to apply and escape submission holds. The
techniques taught are functional for both self-defense and sport.
Submission grappling is great for those of any experience level and
provide a tough anaerobic workout. This class is a combination of
Brazilian jiu jitsu, sambo and wrestling.
This class has been
designed for students who want to drill combos that include ground and
stand up combos. This
Class is the combination of
stand up fighting (muay thai kickboxing) and ground fighting (Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu). Its goal is to train
from both perspectives. This class is taught with a few formats,
although it mostly couples students similar in
size and has them drill out fighting combinations.
This style of fighting has become very
popular with events like the ufc. MMA is one of the most
challenging class we offer at our school. It provides both a great
workout, while learning proper technique. This class is ideal for
those interested in competing and also for those who just want a hard
motivating workout.
